Hale School is excited to have formed a partnership with The Last Great Hunt, whose formation in December 2013 marked the merger of seven internationally acclaimed theatre makers who all have a passion for creating great theatre – and they’re bringing their latest production, BRUCE, to Hale on June 15!
After Old Haleian Tim Watts’ last two Helpmann Award nominated shows (The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer and It’s Dark Outside) performed to sold out crowds and rave reviews all over the world, Watts has teamed up with Nickelodeons’ Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd for an exclusive pre-Edinburgh Festival Fringe appearance of BRUCE.
Get ready to grip the edge of your seat as BRUCE sweeps you away on an epic adventure of love and revenge. He may be just a yellow block of foam with a pair of disembodied hands, but BRUCE is out to prove he’s got a heart of pure gold. BRUCE is a two-man, one-puppet show that fuses mime and puppetry in a non-stop roller coaster of action, adventure and low-fi nostalgia.
BRUCE will be performing in the John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre on June 15 from 7:00pm. You also have the opportunity to join the Hale Foundation before and after the show for refreshments and an opportunity to meet the actors!
Tickets are $40, which includes the pre-show function with beverages and post-show meet and greet with artists Tim Watts and Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd.
Please note: BRUCE contains course language and drug references.
