Group of children and teenagers posing for a photo on a stage with a wooden background, some wearing sports jerseys, and a large sign that says "KICKER THOMPSON" with the Redfoot Youth Theatre logo.

Performed at Hale School’s John Inverarity Music and Drama Centre (Saturday 17 May) and Katanning Town Hall (Saturday 24 May), this heartwarming, family-friendly show followed Kicker Thompson—a spirited farm kid with big AFL dreams—until “the thing” arrives and everything changes.

With a talented ensemble and performances filled with humour, energy, and emotion, this original work brought regional and metro audiences together through storytelling that celebrates courage, community, and imagination.
