YEAR 7, 8 & 9

Ignite your imagination and step into a world where anything is possible! These vibrant workshops invite students to experiment, invent, and collaborate as they dive into the art of Storytelling and Theatre Making. From devising original scenes to trying out new performance styles, it’s all about discovery, self-expression, and the joy of creative play.

Each session will explore a new and unique style of theatre making. You’ll get to build confidence, try out cool ideas, and work with others to bring scenes to life. Whether you love acting, making up wild characters, or just want to see what theatre’s all about, this is your space to explore and make a bit of magic on stage.

Workshop Details:

  • Schedule: Choose - Monday or Tuesday evening, 6:00PM – 7:30PM.

  • Student Participation: Students will only be required to attend one night each week, either Monday or Tuesday.

  • Start Date: Monday 5 May

  • Duration: Approximately 5 weeks

  • Post-Workshop: After the workshop phase, participants may be invited to take part in rehearsals for our Term 3 production, TELLING TALES. We hope to build on the skills and creativity developed during the workshops —so come ready to explore, express, and have fun!

OH, FOR THE LOVE OF SHAKESPEARE!

YEAR 9, 10, 11 & 12

Reimagine Shakespeare from the ground up—literally. These dynamic workshops blend physical theatre with classical text, offering students a bold and fresh way to experience the Bard. With a focus on body language, rhythm, and spatial storytelling, participants will unlock emotional depth and nuance in Shakespeare’s work that goes far beyond the page.

These sessions are a great way to connect with Shakespeare’s characters and scenes without getting stuck in your head. Whether it’s sword fights or fairy mischief, this workshop is all about making Shakespeare fun, physical, and seriously powerful.

Workshop Details:

  • Schedule: Wednesday evenings, 6:00PM – 8.00PM.

  • Start Date: Wednesday 14 May

  • Duration: Approximately 5 weeks

  • Post-Workshop: Following the workshop series, participants may be invited to continue into rehearsals for our Term 3 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This next phase will extend the work begun in the workshop, offering the opportunity to deepen your connection to the text, explore character in greater detail, and be part of a collaborative performance process.
